RV Tips for Minnesota Adventurers
Minnesota gets its name from the Native American Dakota word for “clear waters” but is also known as the state of 10,000 lakes. So what can you expect from a trip to Minnesota? You can expect to see breathtaking views of beautiful lakes and rivers from wherever you are and Minnesotans wear it with pride! There are tons of RV parks and RV repair facilities in the state of Minnesota and many of them are found along the coasts. So if you are planning a trip to Minnesota, be sure to pack some swimming gear!
Minnesota is a beautiful state but it still can get very cold at night and may not exactly be prime weather for water sports during certain times of the year. When it gets too cold to play by the water, be sure to check out the Mall of America. This isn’t your average neighborhood mall either. The Mall of America is huge and is large enough to fit 7 full sized football stadiums within its walls. This mall is a great place to take the family as it has everything from movie theaters to amusement parks!
Winters in Minnesota are known to get pretty cold as well. Just last winter, Minnesota experienced one of the coldest winters it has seen in the last 30 years with temperatures below 0 degrees Fahrenheit for 2 months straight! However, when the winter temperatures aren’t breaking records, Minnesota offers a variety of outdoor activities for the whole family. Our RVing customers have tipped us off that the state is perfect for skiing, sledding, and snowmobiling. Be wary, however, as many roads can be very dangerous during the winter months, especially for RVs. Whenever you’re driving your motorhome you’ll want to keep a close eye on weather patterns and road conditions, but especially if you’re driving through a notoriously cold state during the winter months.
And don’t worry, if you do run into any problems while frolicking through the land of 10,000 lakes, there are plenty of RV Repair Facilities who will be happy to work with our RV Warranties to get you back on the road in no time!
